TOTAL BODY SCAN

Scan Components

High Resolution Computerized Tomography Scan

The main component of a Total Body Scan is the High Resolution Computerized Tomography (CT Scan) of your head, neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis. At Digital Medical Imaging, we use state of the art CT equipment to scan your body in just ten minutes. This screening scan allows the early detection of many of the most common forms of cancer and other less severe conditions such as gall bladder and kidney stones. In just test minutes we will scan the major organs of your body and give you the advantage of knowing your health status. Ten minutes can save you a lifetime!

Cardiac Calcium Scoring

Cardiac Calcium Scoring uses High Resolution Computed Tomography to screen for calcium plaques on the walls of coronary arteries. These arteries supply blood to the heart and the presence of calcium plaques can be sign of coronary heart disease. At Digital Medical Imaging, we use Cardiac Calcium Scoring as a preventive test to screen for heart disease in its early stages and allow you to take the necessary measures to prevent its worsening.

CardioChek® Blood Screening

During your visit we will asses your cardiovascular health with a single drop of blood. At Digital Medical Imaging we use the CardioChek PA Analyzer® to do a complete cholesterol (lipid panel), and glucose test. Unhealthy levels of cholesterol and glucose in your bloodstream are good predictors of heart disease and diabetes type two. Knowing your levels is the starting point to begin changing lifestyle habits and work towards a better health.

Medical Consultation

Upon completion of the screening portion of your visit you will meet with one of our Board Certified physicians and receive a comprehensive 3D tour of your body. During your consultation you will be able to resolve any doubts about your health condition and receive guidance from one of our physicians. At Digital Medical Imaging, we strongly believe that having an understanding of your body is an essential aspect of disease prevention.
